Developers building applications with generative AI today face critical challenges in achieving optimal performance, reliability, and cost- effectiveness. Amazon Bedrock combined with Redis is the perfect combination to increase performance and reduce AI costs. Relying on pre-training or re-training models is expensive, especially if your dataset is frequently updated. Not to mention that they don't solve the latency problem for real-time applications. That's why Amazon Bedrock partners with Redis Cloud as a real-time vector database for storing external knowledge bases. So how does Redis Cloud as a vector database for Amazon Bedrock solve these problems? Now you can implement search-augmented generation ( RAG) to search and retrieve relevant and up-to-date context from industry knowledge stored in Redis, improving the quality of answers. Instead of loading LLM with every query, Redis Cloud serves as a semantic hashing layer that can instantly return results if they are already cached, reducing latency and overhead. You can pre-select and save topics, common questions, and scenarios with predefined answers. User input is compared using vector search against an index of content vectors before being accessed by LLM, which increases the safety and reliability of interactions while maintaining the focus and relevance of conversations . Redis Cloud guarantees the extraction of relevant data. Contextualized information and the initial query are fed into the LLM prompt. The model configured in Bedrock “ comes to life,” generating answers with deeper understanding, ultimately providing an experience that users will want to return to again and again. Getting started is very simple. Set up a 14- day trial of Redis Cloud Database through AWS Marketplace or try our free tier by creating a cloud account directly on our website. To learn more about our integration with Amazon Bedrock, watch our webinar on supporting generative AI applications with Redis Cloud and Amazon Bedrock.
